This 1958 Cadillac Superior 3-Way Hearse was last seen for sale in Virginia Beach, Virginia for $20,500.
This 1959 Cadillac hearse is a rare find, showcasing the craftsmanship of the Superior Coach Co. With just under 50,000 miles on the odometer, this Superior Landau Series 83 Funeral Coach is a true piece of automotive history. The vehicle is equipped with a 365 V-8 engine and an automatic transmission, running on gasoline, with a left-hand drive configuration. Originally hailing from Georgia and Missouri, it now resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where it awaits its next owner.
The hearse has a factory black exterior paired with a gray and blue interior, giving it a striking and classic appearance. However, the body does show signs of age, with numerous dings, scratches, and rust-through spots on the lower rear rockers, wheel wells, and both front doors. The front floor pans have undergone some repairs but will require further attention. The interior, including the original door panels and rear casket compartment, reflects 65 years of wear and tear, while the front seat is in rough condition and needs restoration. The original headliner is sagging, and the rear casket floor has been replaced with plywood, though the 3-way table is missing.
Despite these cosmetic imperfections, the Cadillac hearse starts, runs, drives, and stops well. The frame remains solid, and a new exact reproduction gas tank and sending unit have been installed. Some flat glass windows (left front, left rear side, and right rear side) are cracked, but overall, this is an incredibly rare and mostly complete 1958 Cadillac hearse that still functions.
